Terms of use for plugins and custom firmware

1. What this is. LoEUC plugins and custom firmware are unofficial, experimental modifications of the electric unicycle's software. They were not developed, tested or approved by the wheel's manufacturer. Most of them have been tested only on an emulator bench, not on a real wheel. They may contain errors.

2. Risks. They change how the wheel holds, accelerates and brakes the rider, and the limits that protect the controller and the battery. Consequences may include the wheel cutting out or losing control while riding, falls, serious injury or death of the rider and other people, fire, damage to or destruction of the wheel, the battery and other property, loss of the manufacturer's warranty, and the wheel no longer meeting legal or insurance requirements.

3. No warranty. The plugins, firmware and app are provided free of charge and "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the authors give no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, safety, accuracy or error-free operation.

4. Your choice, your risk. You install and configure plugins and firmware voluntarily, by your own decision, and you assume all risks that come with it. You are responsible for checking what you do, for obeying the laws of your country and for the safety of others. You are 18 or older and legally able to accept these terms.

5. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the author of LoEUC, the authors of plugins and firmware and other contributors are not liable for any damage, direct or indirect, including personal injury or death, property damage, lost profits and loss of data, arising from installing, using or being unable to use plugins and firmware, even if the possibility of such damage was known.

6. What is not limited. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for intentional harm and gross negligence and, where the law so provides, for death or personal injury. Consumer rights that the law does not allow to be limited remain unaffected. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect.

7. Consent. By ticking the box and pressing "I accept", you confirm that you have read and understood these terms and accept them. The acceptance, its date and the version of this text are stored on this device. If you do not agree, do not install or use plugins and custom firmware.
